AEDC releases 2007 annual report
The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation released its 2007 annual report earlier this month at the May 7 Board of Directors meeting. Hard copies of the report are being mailed to all AEDC investors. The report summarizes highlights from the year as well as key economic indicators for the city and AEDC financial data. Three Alaska communities unite to spur economic growth for Southcentral Alaska
The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and the Kenai Peninsula Borough have agreed to team up on economic development efforts. The three communities, spanning more than 52,000 square miles across Southcentral Alaska, signed a Memorandum of Agreement in late April.

BP and ConocoPhillips Join on the Alaska Gas Pipeline
Work to begin immediately on new joint pipeline effort to bring Alaska gas to market

ANCHORAGE, April 8, 2008 -BP [NYSE: BP] and ConocoPhillips [NYSE: COP] today announced they have combined resources to start Denali – The Alaska Gas Pipeline. The pipeline will move approximately four billion cubic feet of natural gas per day to markets, and will be the largest private sector construction project ever built in North America. The project combines the financial strength, arctic experience and technical resources of two of the most capable and experienced companies in the world.

Opening new market opportunities in China
The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) recently returned from its first trip to China following the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding between AEDC and the Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau and the Li Qiao Free Trade Zone. Fifteen delegates traveled to Beijing as part of the AEDC group representing nine businesses and organizations.

AEDC Leads Anchorage Delegation to Beijing
AEDC is leading a 15-member business delegation to Beijing and Tianjin, China April 12 – 19. The group will meet with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, Li Qiao Free Trade Zone and other Beijing businesses.
